Arla Foods is the UK’s largest dairy co-operative headquartered in Yorkshire’s business hub, Leeds.

Over 650 of Arla’s farmer owners are based in the North, with 185 of those in Yorkshire while the company employs over 1,300 employees across the region, working at its Head Office, its distribution centre and its Stourton and Settle production sites to make popular brands such as Arla Cravendale and Big Milk.

The business is not only proud of its Yorkshire roots, but sees considerable growth opportunity in northern infrastructure and local talent. To date, the co-operative has invested over £100 million into the development of its Stourton campus, and has a £25m investment underway at its Settle site to make it the home of Arla LactoFree.

As part of a European cooperative Arla’s farmer owners span across seven European countries and has multiple operation sites across Europe. This allows Arla UK to import some of Britains favourite dairy brands such as Lurpak.
